About Us

Whether you are an experienced rugby player or someone just curious about the sport, the St. Paul RFC would like to welcome you to join our club. The St. Paul RFC is a club built on tradition, and operated with progressive goals for the future. The club is focused on playing quality rugby as directed by our dedicated coaching staff.

The St. Paul Jazz Pigs have two teams that compete in Division II (D2) and Division IV (D4) based out of St. Paul, MN. The D2 team is in the Midwest Rugby Union: Western League competing against teams from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.  This squad is the Jazz Pigs competitive side.  The D4 team is a member of the Minnesota Rugby Union competing against other Minnesota D4 teams.  This squad is the Jazz Pigs developmental side, often comprised of younger players learning the game or veterans looking to play in a more relaxed atmosphere. Both sides practice together, compete in league play in the fall, and hopefully in play-off matches in the spring.  If the teams do not qualify for play-offs, the Jazz Pigs do not take the spring off, but rather attend tournaments and schedule matches for both squads because rugby is awesome.

Even if you are new to rugby or an experienced player, the Jazz Pigs have a place for you on the team.  All are welcome to attend practices, matches, and social events.

For most Jazz Pigs, SPRFC was not their first club.  Below is a list clubs that members played for prior to SPRFC.
