USA Pour Tour Cancer Charity Event

USA pour tourHalf Time Rec has invited us to join them to help raise money for Regions Cancer Center in St. Paul. They will be hosting the USA Pour Tour www.usapourtour.com which will include a silent auction, raffle, and live music from 2-8pm on July 18. The event will also be sponsored by Summit Brewery. They are hoping we could put together a St. Paul Jazz Pigs auction or raffle package for them. If you have anything you would like to donate please contact me directly at guster01@luther.edu and I will figure out a way to get the item from you. We are looking for any Pig items you may have clean shirts, koozies, key chains, rugby balls, shorts, and/or Jerseys. The event last from 2pm to 8pm the Pigs will be meeting at Half Time Rec at 5pm thru 8pm to help support our sponsors Summit Brewery and HTR. Please feel free to show up earlier and plan on having a few drinks and ordering dinner at HTR with your fellow Pigs. After 8pm I assume some might make their way down to Joe and Stan’s or some other bar to end the night.

Pigs vs Bucks 10/5

The St. Paul Jazz Pigs headed down to Waverly, IA to take on the Bremer County Bucks. The Pigs were looking for some payback after the Bucks forfeited what should have been their first match in MN. However, the day ended in disappointment after flat play from the Pigs (and some questionable calls) allowed the Bucks to score two quick tries with less than 5 minutes remaining in the match. The Pigs tried to rally back, but couldn’t string together enough good ball movement to score again. The Pigs lost with a final score of 18-24.

The Bomber posted another win, due to a forfeit from the Rochester Rogues.
