Social Event

Half Time Rec has invited us to join them to help raise money for Regions Cancer Center in St. Paul. They will be hosting the USA Pour Tour www.usapourtour.com which will include a silent auction, raffle, and live music from 2-8pm on July 18. The event will also be sponsored by Summit Brewery. They are hoping we could put together a St. Paul Jazz Pigs auction or raffle package for them. If you have anything you would like to donate please contact me directly at guster01@luther.edu and I will figure out a way to get the item from you. We are looking for any Pig items you may have clean shirts, koozies, key chains, rugby balls, shorts, and/or Jerseys. The event last from 2pm to 8pm the Pigs will be meeting at Half Time Rec at 5pm thru 8pm to help support our sponsors Summit Brewery and HTR. Please feel free to show up earlier and plan on having a few drinks and ordering dinner at HTR with your fellow Pigs. After 8pm I assume some might make their way down to Joe and Stan’s or some other bar to end the night.

Both the D2 and the D4 will be taking on the East Side Banshees.  D2 kick-off will be at noon.  D4 kick-off will be at 2:00pm.  Both matches will be at our home field (where we practice) Afton Heights Park, Upper Afton Rd., Maplewood, MN 55119.  Be there by 10:30am to help setup. After the second match, we will be heading to Half-Time Rec for the social (sloppy joes and Summit Beer).  The address is: 1013 Front Ave, St Paul, MN 55103.

After the tournament is over, we will be heading down to the The  Lazy River Bar in River falls (115 W Walnut St, River Falls, WI 54022).

This Sunday is our first game/scrimmage which also means our first social of the year. We will be having the social at my house following the scrimmage against Mankato. Please try to clear your schedule to attend the social for at least a little bit. There will be free food and Beer I am still debating between tacos or bbq sandwiches. My address is 462 Laurel Ave. St. Paul, MN 55102. You will know you have arrived when you reach the ugliest house on the block. The street parking is free. If you have any lawn games please feel free to bring them as well as i only have testicle toss and croquet. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The Pigs are hosting their 3rd annual golf tournament at Phalen Golf Course,1615 Phalen Drive, St. Paul MN 55106 on Friday, August 5th, 2016. The tournament will be 4 Person Scramble Style Play with a Shotgun Start at 1:30 PM. Check-in by 1:00 PM For $100, a player will get to play 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, range balls, potential to win prizes/contest holes, dinner, and a free keg of beer at Half Time Rec afterwards. Prizes will be given out for the following categories: 1st place team receives $100/person 2nd place team receives 1 voucher for a free round of golf for 4 at Phalen Golf Course Contest Holes & Additional Cheating Tactics Men & Women’s Big Hitter Award (AKA Longest Drive), Longest Putt, Closest To The Pin, Double Your Money, Mulligans, String For Putting, etc. Dinner will be served approximately at 6:00 PM and Includes: Personal Chef Prime Rib of Beef Horseradish Sauce Dinner Rolls Caesar or House Salad Vegetable Du Jour Assorted Brownies and Cookies Coca Cola Products Deadline to Register is July 25th (or until filled).  Attached is the registration form.
