DESCRIPTION:This Sunday is our first game/scrimmage which also means our first social of the year. We will be having the social at my house following the scrimmage against Mankato. Please try to clear your schedule to attend the social for at least a little bit. There will be free food and Beer I am still debating between tacos or bbq sandwiches. My address is 462 Laurel Ave. St. Paul\, MN 55102. You will know you have arrived when you reach the ugliest house on the block. The street parking is free. SUMMARY:13th Annual Mike "Buca" Lundberg Memorial Tournament
DESCRIPTION:All-Comers tournament. There is an entry fee of $30 per player. Names are drawn from a hat to determine the teams. The number of entrants will determine the format. (7s\, 10s\, 15s) There will be a post-tourney social with food and drinks for all participants. MEN AND WOMEN RUGGERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. \nIn 2004\, the Mike Lundberg Memorial Tournament started as a fun opportunity to play winter rugby for men and women of all skill levels while donating 100% of the proceeds to help defray the costs of Mike’s treatments. Sadly\, Mike lost his long battle with Leukemia in 2008. At the request of his family\, we have continued the tournament to celebrate his life and help a member of the Minnesota rugby community in need. \nWe are currently searching for a beneficiary for this year’s tournament. If you know of anyone in the rugby community in need\, please contact Ben “Kramer” Hanson at lhprop1@hotmail.com. \nWe are required by USA Rugby to verify the CIPP of all tournament participants. Verification will take place Friday\, March 4 at 2:00 pm. IF YOU ARE NOT CIPP REGISTERED AT THAT TIME\, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY. DESCRIPTION:Half Time Rec has invited us to join them to help raise money for Regions\nCancer Center in St. Paul. They will be hosting the USA Pour Tour\nwww.usapourtour.com which will include a silent auction\, raffle\, and live\nmusic from 2-8pm on July 18. The event will also be sponsored by Summit Brewery. They\nare hoping we could put together a St. Paul Jazz Pigs auction or raffle\npackage for them. If you have anything you would like to donate please\ncontact me directly at guster01@luther.edu and I will figure out a way to\nget the item from you. We are looking for any Pig items you may have clean\nshirts\, koozies\, key chains\, rugby balls\, shorts\, and/or Jerseys. The event\nlast from 2pm to 8pm the Pigs will be meeting at Half Time Rec at 5pm thru\n8pm to help support our sponsors Summit Brewery and HTR. Please feel free\nto show up earlier and plan on having a few drinks and ordering dinner at\nHTR with your fellow Pigs. After 8pm I assume some might make their way\ndown to Joe and Stan’s or some other bar to end the night.
